If you follow me on Instagram you will probably know that I went to Thailand. Sorry (not sorry) for punishing you with holiday spam but it was honestly one of the best times of my life.
Thailand had always been on my top to do list things and since I hadn’t had a proper holiday for a loooong time it was a worthy vacation. I knew I had to go there so I started investigating online places and agencies to help me. It took me a while which tour I wanted to do, as they all sounded good. I ended up choosing the Classic Thailand on the West Coast a 14 day tour where it took me from the bustling streets of Bangkok and the vibrant city of Chiang Mai to the country’s idyllic islands in the south. There was plenty time to explore the marine life with snorkelling sessions, snap photos of stunning limestone karsts and kick back on white sand beaches. Below is a snapshot of my 14 day trip to Thailand….Looks exciting right? It was the BEST 2 weeks of my life, I met so many super cool people and got to experience the most incredible adventures.
As you know Thailand’s tropical weather is comprised of warm, cool and monsoon seasons. I have visited Thailand in October / November 2019. It’s the best time to visit Thailand for its incredible hiking and stunning sunrises. This blossoming period is perfect for experiencing the countryside with its picturesque green mountains, rice terraces and winter flowers. Therefore if you are thinking on when to go i would suggest October to January, but it always depends on where you want to go in Thailand, east or west.
I have been thinking on how to make my Thailand trip blog and because 2 weeks it’s a lot of information to put in a blog I have decided to split it based on the days and activities I have done in Thailand. This way it won’t be too long for you to read and get bored 😊

My two weeks itinerary included the below:
- Day 1 – Bangkok
- Day 2 – Bangkok / Kanchanaburi
- Day 3 – Kanchanaburi
- Day 4 – Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya
- Day 5 – Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai
- Day 6 – Chiang Mai
- Day 7 – Chiang Mai/Bangkok
- Day 8 – Bangkok / Ko Ngai
- Day 9 – Ko Ngai
- Day 10 – Ko Ngai / Ko Lanta
- Day 11 Ko Lanta
- Day 12 Ko Lanta / Ao Nang
- Day 13 Ao Nang
- Day 14 Ao Nang / Bangkok
Day 1- Bangkok
In order to get to Bangkok and meet the rest of the group I had to fly from Larnaka to Dubai and from Dubai to Larnaka. It was a long flight but it was worth it.
Most international flights land in Bangkok and its normally the first stop of travellers arriving in Thailand. Bangkok is one of those places you either love it or hate it. It’s busy, crowded, dirty but you can also see the glass half full. It’s also stimulating, vibrant and colourful, one of the reasons I miss it so much.

And my trip had officially began……
Once I had arrived at the hotel I met the group leader Pentor (a local expert guide and a very cool guy) and the rest of the group to get more information about the trip and get to know each other. I stayed at the Royal Hotel Bangkok closed to Chinatown, where we had our first local dinner in a traditional Thai restaurant. The food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
The view of Bangkok from my Hotel was just stunning. You could see the whole city while having a drink or two..

My first day in Thailand i learned my first words in Thai:
Hello = Sawatdii
How are you? = Sabaaidii mai
Thank you = Khop kun
What I learnt from my first day in Thailand so far is that Thais are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They are always happy, always smiling, extremely polite and always helpful.
They’ll help you out if you’re in trouble and help translate for you if you can’t speak Thai. They treat you well, and whenever I come back here, the local shop owners whose stores I frequent, greet me with a warm smile and a big hug. It’s true what they say once a friend, always a friend. I felt safe in Thailand and my journey hadn’t started yet.
Stay tuned for Day 2 – Bangkok – Kanchanaburi…
